Launching a coin, one step at a time
From an idea to a live coin on pump.fun, signed from your own wallet. Nothing here needs Pokk except, if you want one, the address.
Before you start
- A Solana wallet with enough SOL to cover network fees, pump.fun's creation cost and any first buy you plan.
- A square image, a name of up to 32 characters, a short ticker and one or two honest sentences about the coin.
- Optional: an X account or site to link, and a custom address saved as a key file.
The steps
- Open the create page. Go to pump.fun/create and connect your wallet. Check the domain carefully.
- Fill in the coin. Name, ticker, image, description and links. These are fixed after creation, so read them twice.
- Decide on a first buy. You may buy some of your own coin in the creation transaction. Holders can see it on the curve; say how much you bought.
- Approve in your wallet. Your wallet shows the transaction. Approving it creates the mint, the curve and your first buy at once.
- Share the full address. Post the complete address, not the short form, and point holders to the coin check and lookalike test.
Using a custom address
The website flow above lets pump.fun pick the address. To use one you found yourself, the creation has to be signed by your mint key as well as your wallet, which means a pump.fun SDK script run on your own machine with the key file. Do this only with code you can read, and never send the key file to anyone offering to launch for you.
The launch preview runs the same checklist in practice mode, with an address from your tab, so every field is right before you go live.
After launch
Once live, the coin is bought and sold on its bonding curve until the sale supply runs out, then moves to a pool. Paste your address into the coin check to confirm the authorities are revoked and to see how far the curve has gone. Coins often fall as fast as they rise; never promise holders a price.
