Creator fees
Creator fees, explained
pump.fun shares part of its trading fee with the wallet that created a coin. Here is what that means, and what it does not.
fee
- Who sets the rate
- pump.fun
- Who receives it
- the creator wallet
- What Pokk takes
- nothing
What a creator fee is
Each trade on pump.fun pays a small fee. Part of it is set aside for the coin's creator wallet, which can collect it from pump.fun. The rates and rules belong to pump.fun and have changed over time, so read the current numbers on pump.fun itself rather than trusting any copy of them, including ours.
What it is not
A creator fee is income for the creator from trading activity. It is not a return for holders and it does not support the price. A coin can earn its creator fees while its price falls. Be clear about this when you describe your coin.
Being open about it
- Say which wallet created the coin; the coin check shows it to anyone.
- If you plan to spend fees on something, say what, and show it when you do.
- Do not promise holders a share of fees unless a program enforces it on-chain.
Pokk itself takes no fee from addresses or launches.
